Ever catch yourself wishing that you had time to EAT RIGHT? Or better yet, time to EAT!?
Well, to be direct, you are going to have to make time! One of two things will ultimately happen: (1) You will make time to eat right and manage your weight or (2) You will have to take time to go to the doctor… the choice is yours. You decide.
I, for one, know the importance of getting Great Nutrition, in a fast, efficient, and affordable way – without sacrificing quality. You can work out 3 hours a day, 7 days a week; but 70-80% of what you body will look like is based on what you put in your mouth… FACT!
Don’t fret, I am here to share with you a few things that will help you put your health in perspective. Here are 5 Things You Must Stop & Do For Your Health or else your health will stop you!
MEAL MANAGEMENT: Take time out to eat on time! Skipping meals is a huge, “NO NO!” Your body’s natural metabolism will slow down if it is not given enough fuel, which will also have other effects and can lead to an insidious slow weight gain that can ultimately lead to becoming clinically obese (30lbs or more overweight for your height). Simply put: YOU MUST MAKE TIME!
MEAL MODERATION: Even if you don’t have time for a FULL MEAL, you should at least have a snack in the afternoon to keep your sugar levels up! Remember we are to eat to live and not the other way around! One horrible misconception is that people think that diabetics are the only ones who have to worry about this. WRONG! We all do!
MEAL MIGRATION: Take your meal to go… literally! When you are eating make sure it is not in front of a computer screen or a desk, or any other work area where you are not able to relax and properly digest your meal. Remember what you do get rid of stays with you literally! Whether your colon or the lovely place we affectionately refer to as “muffin tops”, let’s keep our muffins in the pan, and not coming over our pants!
MEAL MASQUERADES: Avoid them! Are your serious? Don’t fall prey to the seductive siren song of the vending machines, as they mask themselves and attempt to fool you into thinking you ate a meal, when you ate garbage! Keep healthy snacks with in your vicinity. Just make sure that when you go to grab one you take a quick break to let your mind rest and your snack digest!
MEAL MAINTENANCE: Take the time to properly plan out the contents of what you are going to eat. I believe the saying is true that we “…are what we eat…”, who wants to be a “DING DONG” or a “NUTTY BUDDY”? Maintain good healthy eating with consistency and you will not have to worry about the ill effects of not doing so, which can also make it different to maintain your health or even manage weight loss properly.
We are all busy and we all have the same 24 hours in a day… it is what we choose to do with that time that determines if we get more time or not. No matter how much money you make you can’t take it with you.
Just remember this: You will never see a hearse leading a U-Haul at a funeral!
