6 Enemies To Your Success

Anyone who ventures out on a journey to achieve any level of lasting success must also be aware of potential pitfalls or

Some are subtle, while some are not so subtle; but any one of these is the ingredients for recipes called “DISASTER” that I am sure none of us want to “feast” upon!

1.) INDIFFERENCE: When you begin to not really care one way or the other if you succeed or when you succeed, by accomplishing your goals, you are not really positioning yourself for a victories outcome. Shockingly, this is more about having an “indifferent attitude” or “indifferent actions”, not words!

2.) INDECISION: When I think of indecision, I think the best comment that I have heard was attributed to a Yankee great who said, “When you come to a fork in the road… TAKE IT!” I have learned that when it comes to decision there are usually a few different outcomes.

Obviously, the best thing that you can do is make the right decision; the second best thing that you can do is make the wrong decision; and the worst thing that you can do is to not make a decision at all and refuse to participate in your outcome!

3.) DOUBT: I think this one is obvious so I won’t really camp out here but I will say this that was also shared with me: “The man who thinks he can accomplish something and the man who doesn’t think he can accomplish something – are both right!”

4.) WORRY: This is along the same lines of doubt, because it is what allows doubt to set in; but for the most part, just remember that you are never responsible for the results, only the activity! The people that will do business with you, will and the one who will not, will not. Your job is to create value, link with likeminded people, and share your passion, the rest doesn’t matter.

5.) TIMIDITY: My grandmother always told me that scared hunters never eat! Whatever it is that you are supposed to go out and do or get – as soon as you make up your mind to do it or get it; Consider it done! Fortune favors the bold!

6.) COMPLAINING: I think that this is usually more about what the individual complaining thinks is owed to them based on an “expectation”; as opposed to an “anticipation” from working very hard and serving others. Change yourself in a situation as opposed to expecting your situation to change.

Just remember this: “Whining is never an EXIT STRATEGY!”

I hope you found value in today’s post and I look forward to receiving your comments and connecting with you.

Talk to you soon!

  1. I have a bad case of indecision!!! I bet you already knew that though:) I always have to sit back and tell myself, “just make a decision, this is not the biggest decision of your life, either way it will work out fine.” I do it with everything from my kids, to work, to what color of nail polish to put on!! Thanks for the post, I appreciate your kick in the pants!!
